The average cost of a BLS emergency is around $1,400. Patients often do not feel it necessary to purchase a membership because they feel their insurance will cover it. Many times, insurance companies will only pay a small portion of the billed amount for BLS services rendered & the patient is then responsible for the remainder of the balance, which is typically expensive. Members have no out-of-pocket expense for the remainder of the balance or co-pay that the insurance does not cover.
