Why did Deputy Chief Miller get into EMS?

My mother was a Paramedic long before I was born, so I guess I could presume that the EMS field was in my blood.

I got into EMS when I was 17 years old and a senior in high school. I had the opportunity to enroll in a high school EMT program through Harrisburg Area Community College. While I have held positions at various other services through the years, Landisburg EMS has always been home to me and the place that I am most proud of. I enjoy helping others in a time of need and having the opportunity to meet local people and learn about them. I think the best part of this profession is that no two days are the same and you have to prepare yourself for literally anything at any given time.
